Floral Friends
It's the last day of May, and everything is so verdant and fresh; the hedgerows look so beautiful, draped with blossom and flanked with cow parsley.
I can't keep up with all the things that are coming into flower the peonies look absolutely beautiful blowsy and gorgeous. A few delphinium spikes have already burst, and the foxgloves are growing higher and higher, there has even been the odd rose or two.

As always June is the height of the gardening calendar and so I want to get busy getting my garden sorted this weekend, but it is only a temporary fix as it needs a bit more than a little pruning and weeding. I will be busy digging up plants and potting them up.
I recently moved here and renovating the place, the gardens are no exception and at some point this Summer I will be getting the diggers in to do some serious landscaping. As any gardener knows we have to plan ahead - things take time to grow, especially trees and hedges so it a priority to get my garden landscaping underway so I can look forward to seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones this time next year.
